FAQ's
You Asked, We Answered
What is Cor-Tuf?
What is Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC)?
UHPC is a class of concrete that has increased durability and strength
UHPC is 10 times stronger than traditional concrete
UHPC has 124.1 Mpa to 241.3 MPA Compression Strength versus traditional concrete which has 20.7 to 34.5 Mpa Compression Strength
What is Cor-Tuf’s tensile strength?
COR-TUF’s CT 25 mix tensile strength is 16 Mpa) versus traditional concrete tensile strength of 2 Mpa- 4.8 Mpa
What materials does Cor-Tuf consist of?
Cor-Tuf’s ingredients are 80% of the same as traditional concrete. It is the remaining 20% of the ingredients that separates Cor-Tuf from other producers.
What types of fibers are uses in Cor-Tuf?
Fibers range from polyester, fiberglass bar, basalt, steel, and brass coated stainless steel.
Is Cor-Tuf more expensive the traditional concrete?
Standard UHPC saves time and money. Standard UHPC’s use 33% less water. Cor-Tuf requires only a little water. Cor-Tuf structures require less material (1/3 to 1/2); less and smaller columns; less pilings; smaller footings; less, to no rebar; and have no Cold Joints issues.
